After ten long years as expats, a colony of darkness-loving Meta menardi and Meta bourneti are homeward bound.  Hiding in scientific equipment, they were accidentally carried to a vacant house in the Yorkshire Dales from their nearby cave home by a team of archaeologists.  The little (7 cm) pioneers thrived, but the building is finally set to be renovated for school groups and hikers, and the spiders are shipping out.  They’re being gently vacuumed into a fish tank, then rehoused for transit in individual plastic boxes.  Apparently a few ambassadors will be staying behind to greet human visitors at an educational “spider house” exhibit.

Well, 7 cm is pretty big for a spider.
